Blogger Universe News and Trends

Better late than never. Marketing folks are struggling with the blog world and are finally waking up and seeing the potential of blogs as a marketing tool for their clients and as potential customers for targeted advertising.

I am not sure the PR people would be able to understand blogging however - I think as soon as there was some sort of spin i would turn off - or click out - so I think it would have to be handled very carefully

When blogging becomes a marketing tool, I begin to fear for the freedom of weblogs. Marketing folk may find it useful to read blogs of a certain genre or type to gain information for targeting their advertising but to me they see it as Just Another Yuppie Bandwagon they're jumping on to feed their own pockets.
